1974 $2 RS Test Note

This is $2 test note that was placed in circulation in limited quantities by the Bank of Canada to test the durability of new innovations in ink or paper composition or some other changes. The RS prefix corresponds to the prefix S/R which was used on some experimental $2 notes of the 1954 series. It has been reported that some RS test notes appeared much darker in colour than normal notes, presumably due to experiments with different inks.
