Special Numbers

Have you ever wondered if the $5 bill you get back in change might be worth something? There is a possibility. Even some brand new notes have significant value over others that look just like them. Why? The serial numbers.

The most common special serial number variety is the Radar notes. Other varieties of special numbers include ladder notes, ladder/radar notes, million numbered notes, the even rarer ten-million numbered notes, low numbered notes, birth year notes and changeover numbered notes. This section will show examples of many of these varieties. Maybe one day you'll spot a similar note in your pocket!
